AEP ReCreation Lands
Camp A: Hook Lake
Morgan County, Ohio
(near Reinersville)
Directions from I-77:
- Take I-77 to Exit 25 (OH-78 Caldwell/Woodsfield).
- Make a right onto OH-78 heading west.
- OH-78 merges with OH-83. Follow OH-78/83 west (right at the Y).
- At the next Y, make a right onto OH-83 heading north.
- Follow OH-83 northeast until you see the sign for Camp A: Hook Lake. Left side of the road.
Directions from I-70 west of Zanesville, OH:
- Take I-70 to Exit 155 (OH-146 E/OH-60 S/Seventh St.) in Zanesville.
- Follow OH-146 E through Zanesville.*
- Continue following OH-146 heading east.
- Make a right onto OH-284 heading south.
- Make a left onto OH-83 heading northeast.
- Follow OH-83 northeast until you see the sign for Camp A: Hook Lake. Left side of the road.
Directions From I-70 east of Zanesville, OH:
- Get on I-77 S and follow the I-77 directions from there.
*Note: OH-146 E through Zanesville takes a number of turns and follows a number of streets. It's relatively easy to follow the road signs, but here are the turns you will make to help you on your way:
Follow Seventh St.
Make a left onto Main St. (US-40).
Make a right onto Ninth St.
Make a left onto Marietta St.
Make a right onto Sharon Ave. and follow it out of town.
